This post as many that I make is super delayed. I photographed Alli back in the Fall and between switching over to the new blog and re posting past sessions it has taken me a little to get her up here. Allison will be graduating the spring and is a super sweet girl. I photographed her brother last year and in all honesty her ENTIRE family is one of the most genuine and warm hearted groups of people I have met. I can honestly say, I love them all and want to adopt them as my own
Beauty, it’s something that a lot of us don’t truly think we posses. It’s sad really, because each and every person is beautiful but the majority of us don’t ever really feel that way. That’s why I was so beyond happy to help out this past Sunday at e.m. Salon in Brownsburg. They were holding an event for young girls to come and realize how beautiful they truly are. The girls came and were taught ways to enhance their natural beauty by the fabulous stylists and had their hair styled and makeup done. More importantly they we able to visit a couple of booths that were set up, there was Sheltering Wings there to reinforce healthy dating, Inner Thinner Peace, teaching about healthy eating and Maurices was there as well.
Being someone who always felt out of place and aqwuard in school I really feel like this event was a wonderful idea. Not only do I so wish I could have attended an event like this so I wouldn’t have to look back on awful pictures of my eye makeup looking like it was drawn on with a crayon but to have someone remind me at that age that I really was beautiful. I’m not kidding when I say that everyone of the girls that I was able to photograph not only was elated but you could tell they felt like a supermodel. Having self confiedence at any age is important but, when your a young teen or preteen it is so incredibly important for so many reasons.
It is so easy to forget the things that aren’t spoken aloud and we often overlook the actions that are supposed to portray our feelings so if you have a young girl in your life, go give her hug, remind her how much you care about her and just how amazing she is!
Dove chocolates are so much better than fortune cookies
How true. Thank you so much for capturing some great pictures!
So I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Emilie and Brian are a super cute couple and we are beyond excited to work with this next year. Sometimes in life God gives you exactly what it is that you need and I think that these two are just that for us:) They are a fun, happy, loving couple and I’m not kidding when I say Emilie doesn’t stop smiling… EVER! It is so refreshing to come across a couple like the two of them and I can not wait for their wedding next winter.
These are a few shots of a really quick session we did so they would have a few shots for their save the date cards since their wedding is going to be on NYE. I’ll post again after their engagement session.
Guys, thank you so much for working with us. Your wedding is going to be a blast!
